PROLOGUE

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN IN RHYME

“In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word with God did stay,
and the Word was truly God” — believe
this truth today.
It stands as testament, insurance,
treasure, forever true,
our life is built of words — received and
spoken through.

The Word is the source, the start,
the wealth of spirit and of clay,
kept with God eternal, where wonders came to play.
All was made through it — nothing
without it came to be,
by it depends the sunlight’s warmth and
rain from cloud and sea.

Within the Word there lies the life,
the light for humankind,
to shine within all darkness,
so none be lost or blind.
So God sent John to bear that Light,
to witness and proclaim,
not Light himself — but herald sent,
to magnify Its name.

The true Light came to every soul
who walks upon the land,
with mission bright,
divine in aim — to make the spirit stand.
It dwelled among the living world,
yet man knew not His face,
He came unto His very own — who
spurned His love and grace.

But some received that power,
that gift none can replace,
and by the Word believed in faith,
became God’s child by grace.
Not born of blood, nor human will,
nor fleeting mortal breath,
but born anew — from Heaven’s gift,
transcending even death.

The Word was made to dwell
in flesh and walked among us then,
and we beheld His glory there,
beyond the sight of men —
The Only Son from God the Father,
full of grace and truth,
His light eternal shining still,
untouched by age or youth.

John bore witness, crying loud,
“Behold! He comes to me!
He was before I ever was, as One from eternity.”
For from His fullness all have drawn,
in life and in our care,
grace upon grace — His endless gift,
His beauty beyond compare.

For Moses gave the Law of
old — a distant holy frame,
but Jesus brought the truth of
God through His exalted name.
To make the Father known above,
Creator of earth and sky,
the unseen Source from whose own heart all blessings still draw nigh.

ЕВАНГЕЛИЕ ОТ ИОАННА В СТИХАХ И РИФМЕ

ПРОЛОГ

« В начале было Слово, и Слово было у Бога,
и Слово было Бог » — верь в эту правду для нас.
Это завет, залог, счёт, вечное наше богатство,
вся жизнь наша из слов,
принятых и сказанных в час.

Слово — начало,
исток духовной и земной жизни,
хранилось у Бога, где чудеса в бытии.
Всё через Нёго создано,
без Него ничто не возникло,
от Него тепло солнца и тучи,
откуда дождь нам льётся.

В Слове — жизнь и свет,
что людям в тьме сияет ярко,
чтоб люди не пали во мрак, не стали слепы.
Послал Бог Иоанна на землю свидетельствовать свету,
не Свет он сам, но вестник,
через кого Он придёт.

Истинный Свет просвещает каждого
человека в мире,
пришёл с божественной миссией,
чтоб душа расцвела.
Был средь живых в мире, но род людской не узнал Его,
к своим пришёл, но свои не приняли,
не захотели.

Но те, кто принял, силу Его получили в дар,
стали детьми Божьими, веруя в Слово в беде.
Не от крови, не от плоти, не от мужеской воли,
но свыше рождены заново щедростью той.

Слово плотью стало и воссияло средь нас,
слава Его увидели мы, полная чести и ласки.
Единородный от Отца, от начал всех веков,
полный милости и истины от зарождения дней.

Иоанн свидетельствовал, взывая:
« Вот Тот, Кто идёт! »
За мной, но был прежде меня,
впереди всех путей.
Из полноты Его мы все получили жизнь,
милость на милости — сила, краса и отрада.

Закон дан был нам через Моисея издавно,
но не сравнится с истиной Иисусовой славной.
Открыть Творца, Отца земли, вселенной и небес,
Невидимого, из крыл Которого всё, что нужно миру.

IL VANGELO DI GIOVANNI IN RIMA

PROLOGO

« In principio era il Verbo, e il Verbo era con Dio,
e il Verbo era Dio » — credi a ciò che scrivo anch’io.
È testamento, garanzia, tesoro che non si consuma,
poiché tutta la vita è fatta di parola che profuma.

Il Verbo è l’origine, l’inizio, la ricchezza vera,
custodito in Dio, sorgente di ogni primavera.
Per mezzo suo tutto fu fatto,
senza lui nulla nacque,
da lui dipende il sole,
la pioggia che ci tocca e ci piacque.

Nel Verbo è la vita, la luce per l’umanità,
che splende nelle tenebre, portando la verità.
Dio mandò Giovanni per testimoniar la luce,
non era luce lui, ma la voce
che annuncia e conduce.

La luce vera illumina chi vive sopra il mondo,
venne con mission divina, spirito profondo.
Visse tra gli uomini, ma l’uomo non lo seppe,
venne dai suoi, ma i suoi cuore non gli dette.

Ma quanti l’hanno accolto, credendo nel Signore,
divennero figli di Dio, rinati nel suo amore,
non da sangue o da carne, né da volontà umana,
ma dallo Spirito dall’alto, grazia sovrumana.

Il Verbo si fece carne e dimorò tra noi,
e vedemmo la sua gloria, dei secoli eroi,
dell’Unigenito del Padre, pieno di grazia e verità,
presente fin dall’inizio, luce e santità.

Giovanni ne rese testimonianza, gridando col cuore,
« Egli viene dopo me, ma visse prima, oh Signore »,
dalla sua pienezza tutti abbiamo ricevuto in vita,
grazia su grazia, bellezza infinita.

La Legge fu data per Mosè nel passato,
ma Gesù portò la verità e il dono consacrato,
rivelando il Creatore, il Padre del cielo e terra,
l’Invisibile da cui discese ogni vita che s’afferra.

L’ÉVANGILE SELON JEAN EN RIMES

PROLOGUE

« Au commencement était la Parole,
et la Parole était Dieu,
en elle crois bien fort, car elle est vérité
pour toi comme pour eux.
C’est le testament, l’assurance,
le trésor donné pour la vie,
car tout notre être se tisse de mots reçus et dits.

La Parole est l’origine, la source
du bien et de la lumière,
elle demeurait en Dieu, créant l’univers et la matière.
Tout fut fait par elle,
sans elle rien ne prit forme ni jour,
d’elle dépend le feu du soleil et
la pluie dans son parcours.

En elle était la vie, lumière pour l’humanité,
pour que jamais la nuit n’engloutisse la vérité.
Alors Dieu envoya Jean témoigner de la clarté,
non la lumière lui-même,
mais son annoncier dévoué.

La véritable lumière éclaire tout cœur mortel,
elle descendit du ciel, en mission immortelle.
Présente parmi les hommes, nul pourtant ne la vit,
elle vint vers les siens,
et les siens l’eurent ainsi bannie.

Mais ceux qui l’ont reçue, acceptant sa puissance,
devinrent enfants de Dieu,
nés dans la foi et l’espérance,
non du sang, ni de la chair, ni de volonté humaine,
mais d’un Esprit d’en haut, d’une grâce souveraine.

La Parole prit chair, et parmi nous fit sa demeure,
nous vîmes sa gloire, éclat du Fils du Créateur,
plein de grâce et de vérité,
du commencement des temps,
plein d’amour éternel, de lumière et de chant.

Jean témoigna de Lui, criant :
« Voici Celui qui vient ! »
Il était avant moi, depuis le tout premier matin.
De sa plénitude nous avons reçu sans fin :
la grâce sur la grâce, beauté et soutien divin.

Car la Loi fut donnée jadis par Moïse ancien,
mais la vérité du Christ vainquit tout ce moyen,
révélant le Créateur, le Père du firmament,
l’Invisible dont jaillit le monde et son ornement.
